Web redesign review · October 28, 2026

Five company sites.
Twenty-six stations.
One system.

Every site on this page is a working WordPress build on our dev server, with real content harvested from the current sites. Open any card on your phone or desktop. Nothing here is public or indexed, and nothing live has changed.

Open everything on a phone too

Most of our audience arrives on a phone. Every layout here was built phone-first; the small inset on each card is the phone view.

Listen Live works

On the station sites the yellow-style bar at the bottom plays the real stream and keeps playing while you move between pages.

Forms are wired to Justin

Contact forms send to Justin on the dev server. Station contact, calendar and contest forms are marked as pending on purpose.

The Sales portal needs a login

It is an internal tool, so logged-out visitors see only a login screen. Justin will send the review login separately.

01 / The family

Five WVRC sites, one design system

wvrcmedia · digital · audio · political · sales

Same type (Archivo and Manrope), same colours (ink, WVRC cyan, deep cyan), same editorial layout rules, and the real logos untouched. What changes from site to site is which colour is the ground and which is the signal, so the five read as one company without being identical.

WVRC Media

Night variant
https://wvrcmedia.wvrcdev.com/

The parent company site and the hub of the family. Dark grounds, no hero photo, the four divisions as tiles.

  • Home: the four division tiles and the company facts strip (80+ years, 33 stations, 54 of 55 counties).
  • About: history, the four divisions, leadership.
  • Careers: the two postings that are live today.

WVRC Digital

Photo variant
https://wvrcdigital.wvrcdev.com/

Built first; the other four derive from it. Photo hero on the New River Gorge bridge, editorial layout, numbered sections.

  • Services grouped by what a client wants: Reach, Be found, Convert (nine tactics, each with its own page).
  • Client proof and the testimonials carried over from the current site.
  • Contact: one full-bleed cyan block with a real five-field form (submissions go to Justin on the dev server).

WVRC Audio — desktopWVRC Audio — phone

WVRC Audio

Signal variant
https://wvrcaudio.wvrcdev.com/

Cyan hero band with ink type, then a white station directory by market, then an ink sports section.

  • Radio Stations: all 31 stations in nine markets; each station opens its own page with a hero.
  • Mountaineer Sports: the network rundown and the Marconi image.
  • History section carried from the current site, re-set in the family type.

WVRC Political — desktopWVRC Political — phone

WVRC Political

Deep variant
https://wvrcpolitical.wvrcdev.com/

The light one: cloud and white grounds, deep cyan as the signal colour, podium photo, eight campaign tactics.

  • Campaign tactics: one numbered list, each tactic has a page.
  • Campaign Websites: the three pricing cards ($500 / $1,500 / custom).
  • The wordmark is constructed from the real WVRC glyphs because no Political logo file exists; pick plain or the play-triangle variant.

WVRC Sales portal — desktopWVRC Sales portal — phone

WVRC Sales portal

Console variant
https://wvrcsales.wvrcdev.com/

Internal only: a login-gated app where reps place orders and requests and the digital team sets statuses. Logged-out visitors see only a login screen; the screenshot is the manager dashboard.

  • Dashboard: New digital order, Creative request, Radio order; My orders with statuses and due dates.
  • Order flow: order → tactic → review → submit, one email to the admin address; statuses Draft to Complete.
  • Ten Gravity Forms rebuilt from the audit of the current wvrcdigital.com and portal forms.

02 / The stations

All 26 stations on one network

radio.wvrcdev.com

One WordPress network, one block theme, no page builders and no Slider Revolution. Each station is a row in a registry (brand, format, market, palette, stream, FCC licence), and the registry paints the site: 26 real brand colours, four brand temperatures, legal IDs derived from the FCC record so nobody can mistype a call sign. A station can change format by changing one field. The network directory is at https://radio.wvrcdev.com/.

Current · 7 stations

Dark canvas, loud brand accent, big condensed type. The hit-music, rhythmic, active-rock and new-country stations.

Heritage · 7 stations

Warm paper surface and a slab serif. The country and classic-rock stations with a history and a full local staff.

Bright · 7 stations

White canvas, friendly rounded type. Adult contemporary, classic hits and lake country.

Authority · 5 stations

Serif headlines and newsroom density. The news, talk and sports networks.

03 / Not built yet

What you will not find here

honest list

Family sites

  • Privacy and Accessibility pages (linked in every footer, not written).
  • Real photography of the team and the Spruce Street office; a dark-lettered logo export; a real WVRC Political logo.
  • Yoast titles and descriptions, GTM and tracking snippets, and the 301 map from the current sites.
  • wvrcdigital.com's internal tool pages (order, creative request, RFP, radio order, report and kit generators) move to the portal at cut-over; the inventory is done, the redirects are not.
  • Portal: real rate cards, agreement and decks in Resources; accounts for every rep and station staffer; Mia's address at cut-over.

Station sites

  • Forms: contact, calendar and contest entry are placeholders that say so. Contest rules, community calendar, newsletter signup, WDNE Trading Post listings, game-day strip, weather alerts, ad code.
  • Host and personality records: every current site hardcodes them in the page builder, so the new show pages carry what could be harvested; filling them properly is a content job, not a development one.
  • Logos: the largest file any current site serves is about 300 px wide. Vector artwork is needed for anything bigger than a header.
  • Art direction per temperature is a starting point, not a ruling: fonts, accent choices for two stations (WDZN crimson vs gold, 96.1 KWS navy vs red), and the four low-confidence accents (QZK, Big Dawg, The Mountain, WELK).
04 / Decisions

What we need from you

before launch planning
Where these live

Everything here is on our dev server. Production needs a home: the recommendation is a new, properly sized Cloudways server (not the current radio box) and a clean rebuild onto it, which is what these builds already are.

Listen Live

The station sites embed Amperwave's own player, so pre-roll and mid-roll ad insertion is untouched. That choice needs a yes from whoever owns stream revenue before it is final.

Deals links

Seventeen of 26 current sites send listeners to the Morgantown IncentRev deals page regardless of market. The new sites map each station to its own region; sales should confirm the mapping before launch.

Legal IDs

The new sites derive every legal ID from the FCC record (Sky 106.5 becomes WWLW; stray -FM / -AM suffixes and market-instead-of-city IDs are gone). Confirm there is no objection to the on-air brand and the legal ID being shown separately.

Order of launch

Suggested: WVRC Digital first, then Media, Audio, Political, the Sales portal, then the stations in waves by market.

Feedback

Tell Justin what to change

Anything on these sites is editable by the team in WordPress, the same way on every site: pages are blocks, services and stations are entries, brand colours and type are locked. Send notes by page and station name, or mark up screenshots; nothing is precious yet.
